A 400-500Mbps increase over what I was getting previously.įor anyone in a similar situation that that stumbles across this post, I tried buying an ECB7250's to bypass the unbonded MoCA 2.0 available from the G1100, but couldn't get it to work with the Verizon provided WCB6200q. But what do you know, my new router (CR1000A) and extender (E3200) arrived, and about 6 minutes later, here I am at my computer connected via the new extender and getting around 900/950 d/u. I don't even know how many different people I spoke to. It took 6 hours via chat support to convince them to send me the new equipment without charging me. Even after I explained the issue, provided the solution, and even told them what equipment would fix it, they still told me that I would be capped at ~500Mbps.Ħ Hours. Many forums, spec sheets, and MoCA posts later, I understood that my router was the limiting factor and called Verizon to present my findings. I'd be stuck paying for gigabit but only able to utilize half of it. I'd call Verizon, they'd say that was the most a coax connection could do. As expected my connection at the extender was capped at ~500Mbps.
